Non-School Based

Coming Up Taller
The Coming Up Taller Awards recognize exemplary arts and humanities programs that foster young people’s intellectual and creative development.

Young Audiences
Young Audiences presents performing and visual artists to youth in schools, during the summers, and in the non-school hours.

School-Based

Arts Education Partnership
The Arts Education Partnership (AEP) was established in 1995 through a unique interagency agreement between the National Endowment for the Arts and the U.S. Department of Education, an agreement that has continued unabated since that year. The founding organizations continue to provide support and promote AEP as the nation’s hub for individuals and organizations committed to making high-quality arts education accessible to all U.S. students.

National Art Education Association
Founded in 1947, the National Art Education Association is the leading professional membership organization exclusively for visual arts educators.

Southeast Center for Education in the Arts
The Southeast Center for Education (UTC) is one of six Getty-funded regional institutes established to research and promote discipline-based visual art education.

Discipline-Specific

American Alliance for Theater and Education
The American Alliance for Theatre and Education (AATE) works to ensure that every young person experiences quality theatre arts in their lives provided by proficient, talented artists and educators.

Children’s Music Workshop
The Children’s Music Workshop (CMW) specializes in a variety of music education products and services. CMW presently coordinates music programs in more than two dozen Los Angeles area public and private schools.

Educational Theatre Association
The Educational Theatre Association (EdTA) is a national nonprofit organization with approximately 100,000 student and professional members. EdTA’s mission is shaping lives through theatre education.

National Association for Music Education
Since 1907, the National Association for Music Education has worked to ensure that every student has access to a well-balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality program of music instruction taught by qualified teachers.

Arts Education Network
Through the Arts Education Network, Americans for the Arts provides arts education professionals with professional development opportunities as well as the tools and resources needed to strengthen arts education in their own communities.

Arts Education Key Research Tools
Maintained by the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA), this comprehensive list helps state arts education leaders locate resources relevant to their work.

ArtsEdge
ArtsEdge is the Kennedy Center’s free digital resource for teaching and learning in, through, and about the arts.

The Education Commission of the States
The Education Commission of the States (ECS) partners with education policy leaders to address issues by sharing resources and expertise. ECS serves both the people who develop and implement education policy and the students who directly benefit from effective policy change.

National Endowment for The Humanities
The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) is an independent federal agency created in 1965. It is one of the largest funders of humanities programs in the United States.

National Endowment for the Arts

National Assembly of State Arts Agencies
The National Assembly of State Arts Agencies (NASAA) is the membership organization that unites, represents, and serves the nation’s state and jurisdictional arts agencies. Each of the 56 states and jurisdictions has created an agency to support excellence in and access to the arts.
